Whats the !CTS mod exactly?

take the bloody CTS emblem off the back. Some use a heat gun, that scares me. I used some degreaser and dental floss. Then waxed the area after
This way, only 2 Caddy emblems and a few Vs are on your car

doing th floss method....will ANY scratches or residue or paint fade be apparent after removing the emblem.

not on mine it's just sticky tape stuff, doubt any residue is possible

Make sure that the floss is between the emblem and the tape on the back of it. Don't floss against the paint, and take your time.

I usually take a hair dryer to heat up the glue in order to soften it. Then take floss and gently remove the emblem as you heat up that area of the logo. Slowly progress until the logo comes off. The logo comes off a lot easier when the glue is softened. A little bit of residue will be left behind, but do not fear. Some wax and muscle will take car of that easily.

I wish someone would've explained this earlier. I saw the exclamation point and the CTS and assumed that you just had to get real close to the emblem and yell and that would scare it off. Obviously after 4 hours I figured out that this was incorrect, but it would've saved me some time had I known earlier.

Remember we're not all car experts like you guys.

3M or some company makes a spray "release agent" that is rubbing alcohol or something similar in a spray can. Takes off any stick-on badging without screwing up the paint. Even okay for fiberglass--used to use it on my vette.

I've taken off the body side mouldings on three c5's, about 30ft. of body side mouldings. Never left a mark, ghost outline or anything. Heat the glue up, fishing line behind the emblem and pull the emblem off. If heavy glue is left, roll it off with your finger, then use a product called Goo Gone, takes the remainder glue off. Clay bar the paint, wax it and it should look good as new.
