2001 catera sport...w/ some minor customizations

just picked one up and the brake feel is quite different from my '03 acura TL.

the catera's brakes are very strong, but the brake effort feels high and there's a bit of "dead travel" before the brakes begin to grab with any authority.

when they do grab, they do grab nicely...but that lag is something i'm not accustomed to.

is this normal for a catera sport?

Well as far as I know must of the catera's pedals do feel a little soft and you do have to push it down a little farther then most other cars to get a good bite.

That's how mine are and the brakes are fine. There's a lot of travel before the brake starts to "bite." My wife complains every time she goes from her BMW 3-series to my car and tells me I need to get the brakes checked.
