well i canceled my wedding 2 days ago.. we were getting married in 3 weeks and it wasn't feeling right to me and I canceled it. I had to follow my gut. The only problem now is we are obviously breaking up and splitting our ways. I have to repay a lot of the deposits on the wedding and I have to refinance the home in just my name and take her off which will cost me quite a bit. After it's all said and done I need a lot for all my unseen expenses. My life kinda blows right now and I don't want to sell my caddy.. I love that car. But I just don't have any other choice since the home will be just mine now and wont have 2 incomes. so I sold my LS7 camaro and I am selling my caddy but I am keeping my baby.. the 67 camaro. I have to get rid of 2 amazing cars but I have no choice. Thats why a lot of you might of wondered why I went quiet over the last week.. this is why. But I still plan on sticking around here and being a vendor and helping anyone out with their V.. I have a lot of engine packages to offer you all and I plan on getting another v next year when I can get back on track. So I am just curious what you all think my car is worth? let me know. Thank you.

I understand what your saying but I am going through a hard time right now and could use a little compassion since I don't want to sell but I have no choice. I know it's what someone will pay, that's how it always is... But I don't know what is a fair price to ask for it. I am trying to find out a base line of what it is worth for people who are looking to buy one. For my car, in my condition. Just curious what type of price I should expect for it.

That's exactly what I was thinking. I just needed reassurance. I didn't want to give it away and I didn't want to rip anyone off. Thank You.

Thank you.. That's exactly what everyone else is saying. We did go in on the home together which is what I need this money for.. We got that first time home buyer credit for 8K but now we have to pay it back because she is no longer on the loan.. So between the refi, 8k, and all the wedding stuff its going to cost a lot of money.

This has been hard as hell on me. It seems like she got half, hell it seems like she got a lot more than half.. It is costing me a lot of money to get over this. I guess in a way I am grateful we were not married but I will be honest.. It's still hard as hell to give up my cars to get over this.. It feels like I lost a lot more than just 2 cars. My cars are a big part of me and all the time involved with them is just hard to let go of.

Yes I still get the house and my animals but damn it doesn't seem like I have much left besides that.. I wish I could keep the car but with this coming up like it did there is just no way. This car is the last thing I really OWN that I can get money for. So I have to be a man about it and let it go... Hopefully by next summer I can save up and afford another one. But for now I have to do what I have to do. It sucks because I finally got my V exactly where I want it and it makes me completely happy in every way.. then this happens.. Just the way it goes sometimes..

I hope my car is worth $25k - 47k miles with same mods as you minus the powdercoated wheels and the badass axles.

I'm really sorry to hear of your situation. I have some major life changes in my near future too. My girlfriend of 7 years and I bought a house together about 3 years ago, and we just recently broke up. She can't afford the mortgage by herself, so I have to come up with half the equity and send her on her way. We have a son though who is turning 5 next Wednesday, which really really complicates the situation for us. I won't go into anymore details, but I'm sure everything will work out.

Kudos to you for knowing what felt wrong and stopping it before it got any further. I think you made a very wise decision. I am so glad I never married my ex even with all the pressure on me - I knew it wasn't right.

Best of luck!

i have no idea what mine is worth. i am hoping to get at least 23 for it.. but it's best to start a little high and work down.. you can always come down, just can't go up.

It just sucks because of how close we were to the wedding date.. we already sent out the invitations so I have been working all week to try and get new ones out explaining the wedding is off.. I have already started to get gifts in the mail too.. so I am trying to get them returned.. it has been really hard. I HATE that I have to sell my caddy.. But when I get into this type of situation I have to find a way out and still have to pay the bills so the toys must go.. It just makes me sick. :/

You definitely made the right decision though. Good for you for being honest and ending it before it got even more complicated/expensive down the line. It sucks right now for sure, but it will get better. Hell, you might end up with something more badass than when you started out. Don't think about the cars so much, think about not being stuck in a relationship you don't want to be in, and kicking yourself in the ass 10 years/3 kids from now.

Oh, and 25k is a good call Ted.

you just have to look at the bright side of things, i would have never got a cts-v if it wasn't for that stupid bi*%h!

Sorry to hear that!!

IMHO, If your mechanically inclined, you better off parting it out, and selling it stock. You can get some good $$ for those parts you listed, and still sell the V stock for the low 20's... Most people just dont want to deal with the hassle of taking off the parts, and putting stock parts back on, etc.

If you go that route, let me know, I would be interested in taking some parts off your hands....

I agree with this. It sucks taking the upgrades off, but you'd probably make more $$. I'll buy those axles!

i was thinking about it. I do have a nice shop and lift at my house. what do you think I could sell my aftermarket parts for and then my whole car in stock form? I just need to decide if the work and time is worth it.

The car is probably worth about $18k stock.

$3500 maggie blower 6lbs
$600 kooks headers stainless
$250 high flow cats
$150 magnaflow mufflers stainless
$100 pinion support brace
$1300 DSS custom axles to eliminate wheel hop ( best mod money can buy for our cars )

$5900

Just my guess. Now that I look at it, if you can get $23500 or more I wouldn't bother parting it out. I would probably ask $25k for it and see what kind of offers you get.

perfect. thank you.. When I bought this car I was not looking to sell it so I have no idea what the parts are worth. I will list it at 25 and hopefully someone is interested..the lowest I will go down is 23 the way it is.. Anything less I will probably start parting.. Thanks again for your input.
