Whats in the box by pedals on 02-06 Escalades??

just wondering.. what are the plugs/wires for that are in the box that is near the gas/brake pedals?? when you go to reach for the firewall there is a black plastic box that you can take the cover off of and behind it is a punch of plugs and wires.. anyone know what those are for?

The box is a junction box that connects some of the major wiring harneses from the firewall to the interior. It also is where you plug in the wiring harness to install a brake controller.
