If your choices were the Audi A4 1.8T Cabriolet, the BMW 325Ci Convertible, or the Saab 9-3 Linear Convertible? One of my teachers was thinking about getting an Audi A4 convertible, but she wanted to know what I thought about it (seeing as how I'm pretty smart when it comes to cars)...But European convertibles aren't quite my thing, so maybe you guys can help???

BMW if she wants a below par piece of junk (these things are OLD now)

Audi if she wants to be subtle and understated.

SAAB if she likes to be different, and quirky.

The best car there is the Audi, but i wouldnt rule out the SAAB, it is also a great car.

The BMW is outdated, and effectively, she would be buying a new-old model. The car was poor in crash test because it was designed in 1997, and has only recieved minor changes since.

The only reason people are still buying the BMW is because it is a status symbol greater than Audi and Saab. Also, how about a Mercedes CLK? They are reasonably good, but the Audi is still a better car.

Advise her to get the Audi, with that 1.8Turbo engine too :)

I've read in many places that Audi A-4's have a poor reliability record. I've heard about this a lot in the 97-00 1.8T's but maybe they are more reliable now.

Really? Are they THAT bad? I know they've had reliability issues, but the Audis look so nice, and the Saabs well, are pretty ugly. Are there any other convertibles (from any car company) that you would recommend that are in the 30k to 40k price range??? There are no Saab dealers in Arkansas, so that kinda rules them out...

Thanks guys!
