5W-30 synthetic. Mobil 1 is just fine. A quart in 2000 - 4000 miles is well within the GM curve for a relatively NEW engine - with less than 36,000 miles.

Well, a 2010 model with 160Kmiles goes about 18,000 miles a year so it's a road/highway car. Get a good -V moderate load road mileage figure and use that to calculate approximate gallons used.

Just for shits and grins, the 2018 actual cost to own/drive a vehicle was about 71¢ a mile. That includes gas, oil, insurance, normal maintenance. So that 100 mile run you just did cost you $71 in the long run.

Mine has done 17.16 mpg, calculated, over 29,962 miles. The ECM's opinion differed by -0.26%. That was with mixed driving - semi rural - moderately well behaved - no winter - auto with 3.73 diff.
