When you were in your teens, what was your first car? Mine was a 1990 Cadillac Eldorado which my parents owned but gave it to me when I turned 16. I had the second coolest car in school:cool2: , first was a 1992 Chevrolet Corvette.

1988 Nissan Sentra

My parents bought it new in 1988 and we took it all over the country. I got it in 1997 when I was 15.

Totally rocked in the snow. I had my Clarion CD player and big speaker boxes in the back seat. It got rear-ended three times, but the second time around I was able to remove the back seat and use my legs (with hands gripped the front seats) to push the rear back out. Hooray for tinfoil body panels! It was freakishly reliable too.

Brand New 1968 Imperial Crown Convertible, Light Green Metallic, Dark Green Leather Bucket Seats, Dark Green Roof, every single option. I was 22. Bought it, financed it, paid it off. Until then, (prior 5 years used parent's cars).

84 Ford Escort (yeah, I hear you all laughing AT me, not with me) but it served it's purpose until the camshaft lobes wore off and I junked it and...

purchased a 91 Deville - that's right, went from chump to pimp overnight <chuckle> and never looked back.

Thank God I saw the light and got a Caddillac.

1986 Buick Regal in 2000 (i was 17), black, moonroof, faded grey interior no engine, bought it from my sister after she blew the engine in it, gave her 200 bucks for it...

took it to a "reputable" mechanic who quoted me 800 for an engine swap, 305 to 305, he was pullin the 305 from another buick...dont know which one...he finishes the next summer, and hands me a bill for 1800 dollars, i said what?!?! got mad demanded my keys and left, only to be stranded less than a mile down the road, the car gave me a crappy 2 weeks of black smoke driving and constant flooding and stalling, so i took it back

Mine was an early 80's Toyota Mark II (I guess it was called a Cressida when it fist came here). It was a land yacht by the standards of the day, great cushy ride. For some reason the factory radio had mic input jack....maybe karaoke ready?

My first car was a meadow green '64 Impala 4-door sedan, 283 with a Powerglide. It was the car my parents bought when I was a baby and eventually learned to drive in. It was a sweet driver, but it sucked down gas like a B-52.

Six months after getting my driver's license, I bought a '74 Toyota Celica for $1,250. It was a good little car, for the most part, although it seemed to have a nervous breakdown as it approached 100,000 miles in the summer of 1986. Lots of things had to be repaired or replaced. Still, that car got me through high school, college and my first year on my own.

I always missed that '64 though, and in 1999, I finally found another one that was in decent shape and that I could afford. Still have it and love it, despite the lousy gas mileage.

I had a 1964 Ford Ranchero with a Comet front cap. It also had the 289 automatic.

The man I bought it from (October 30th, 1979 for $800) put it together from two or three wrecked vehicles, a Comet, a Ranchero, and a Falcon wagon.

It looked like this when I got it, except it had a black vinyl top glued on. (this one I found on eBay a few months ago)

I painted it black and put some white painted rims on it. This is the last picture I took of her before I sold her in 1991.
