my bro just got 40 acres up north my car can do the dirt roads
but wanted to be taller as its right there wanting to hit stuff
so - you gonna take the 'ol hooptie-lac off-roadin? YEE-HAW -
iffun yer gonna do it - ya gots ta do it rite -
git yerself a cuple 2by2z - and jus hammer em inta da sprangs -
inbetwixt dem coilz -
dat otta lif da car up a cupola inchez
-------------------------
it shows that 225/70/15 were an opt for that car ......
so would a 215/75/15 be taller?
a quick tire lesson -
on a 225/70/15 tire -
225 is the section width - measured in mm -
the fattest part of the sidewall -
when mounted and inflated -
70 is the aspect ratio -
a percentage of sidewall height -
compared to tire width -
15 is the wheel diameter -
---------------------
so - a 225/
75/15 will be taller than a 225/
70/15 -
stock size 215/70/15 has a diameter of 26.85"
a 215/75/15 has a diameter of 27.7" -
a 225/70/15 has a diameter of 27.40" -
a 225/75/15 has a diameter of 28.29" -
so - comparing the stock size 215/70/15 - to a 225/75/15 -
there is a 1.44" difference in diameter -
that means you would gain about 3/4" additional ground clearance -
oh - and iffun ya putz da 235/75/15 on -
yude git a inch o xtra clearance cuz itz to inchez hier den de orijenal tirz -
