well i live in westchester and today we got blasted with snow. this srx is like a tank in the snow.......i noticed when i was coming home from the store for like 2 seconds a high pitched grinding noise came from the shift knob console. it sounded like a high pitch grind....then it stopped car was fine but it smelt like something was burning but then it went away?.........any ideas? the car was fine after that no problems!

Could it have been the StabiliTrac or ABS kicking in? Don't know about the smell, though!

Yes the SRX is great---somewhat....When we get a snow like this, my son takes MY SRX and leaves his '05 GTO!
