What? No leather seats in the Lyriq?

Thanks for being part of this Forum! I was excited about the new Lyriq, but discovered that the seats may not come in real leather. Regardless of what is hip or vegan or whatever, a lux vehicle should have the option of real materials for the seats. It’s not a RAV4 nor a CRV but a Cadillac. I placed my reservation but honestly may withdraw it…yeah just because of plastic seats.

Another GM blunder to save costs. Remember the 1980s, I believe? What was that Chevilac called?

Most GM leather is a fake called Mulan which is shredded leather formed into sheets. Only their Napa leather is actually leather hides. Also, the Lyriq seats are perforated and will not be sticky like the 1960s vinyl seats. Even new BMWs and Mercedes come standard with non-leather seats. Many reviews of the Lyriq say the leather seats are great - obviously did not recognize they weren’t leather. I suggest try them first before turning down a Lyriq.

Long, I did contribute constructively and @Jimpilot tried to be a tough guy and I responded. You saw the posts and where it started. Your point is however taken.
