Re: 2010 cts 3.0 2wd base model lowering

I`m going to speculate here:
The 3.0 is a smaller displacement version of the 3.6 and shares the same basic architecture.
The fact that your engine has approx .200" less bore and stroke is absolutely irrelevant to spring selection

H&R lowers the car too much in my opinion. Look at the Eibachs..... Also talk with D3 Cadillac reference their springs and sway bars... They assured me that though developed for the CTS-V, both will work on all other CTS models.

Consider day to day livability/ ride quality, springs that are acceptable in the south, are a complete PITA on the frost heaved roads of Chicago /Buffalo/Cleveland. Where are you ?

New springs are inexpensive, however if you are paying a pro for installation and alignment and then find them so harsh that you reverse the process, costs add up quickly. JMO

There are a couple of things you can do to your car w/o changing the springs.... First, upgrade to 18" rims and go with a better tire... (Michelin Pilot Super Sports) Second, upgrade just the sway bars and end links, also some of the other suspension parts.. Third, go to Delrin or Poly bushings.... This will tighten up the suspension as well.

2010 CTS 3.0 with H&R drop springs. Yes they fit. On the front there is four dead coils; I cut one off so the vehicle would not rest lower in the rear on the body line.

Rides a little rough with the 20s on Houston streets, but no different then a BMW M car minus the sway in the suspension.

Perfect amount of lowering. Love the stance.

What's wrong with Houston streets? I don't remember frost heaves/pot holes.

Re: Lowest Lowering springs? 12 CTS coupe RWD

I think that you will find that those two choices will only produce a "mild" drop at best. If you follow *************** you will notice that the majority of guys that have the lowest drops have cut springs. I'm not advising that, only trying to give you full disclosure. YMMV
