After some problems with my cheap China dtc code reader I was wondering what you guys use.

Of course the best way would be a Tech 2 but those are pricey things for some of us.

Now I am looking for a tool that can read at least my 04 SRX codes and test the modules as well. I think I have a problem with one of the electrical fans of the radiator but can't test them, or can I?

I would like to see what someone of you use, what the prices are and how good it functions! Let's hear it!

I use an Autoxray 6000 IIRC. They have very good units. It will interact with pc also using their software. I've used it hundreds of times and has real time engine monitoring so you can watch sensors. Down sides... Don't need a differnt software cd if yours goes bad as they will not give you another and it is expensive. Customer support I've heard is not awesome either.

What unit can also test modules individually? I know that the Tech 2 can power modules without the PCM or whatever module is asking it to work.
Are there good priced alternatives to do this?

Does anyone have any experience with the tech 2 clone? I read some good things about them on a Saab and Pontiac forum.

I am not a China fan to buy such stuff but for only $500 it about a quarter of the really tech 2 price
