3.0 auto, only has 300 miles so far. When its warm the oil pressure goes to about 25 @ idle. That sounds low to me but its a modern engine so I don't have anything to compare it to. Comparing it to my '70 Cutlass with a big block V8 is apples to oranges. What are you guys seeing?

Same here. With a warmed up engine the range on my 3.6DI is between [email protected] and [email protected]

I assume, since those modern 'full synthetic' oils have a really low viscosity (almost like water), the lower oil pressure is normal.
In the 'old days' even a too high oil pressure could have caused to get your crank and rod bearings to get 'washed out'. Thereby, the bearing surfaces got damaged.

Switching from the standard CTS Wagon to the V-Wagon where the oil pressure gauge is located, the V has a gauge for the supercharger pressure. The vast majority of the time the charger is not engage and I look down think for a moment I don't have any oil pressure.
The V doesn't have a oil pressure gauge.
