Soo.. is this something again that other people experience or what? I will be driving going through the gears(think windy mountain road) and eventually my digital oil temp guage with start to rocket up till the warning comes on. Then I look at the water temp and its fine as well as the tranny? Took a temp gun to the coolant exit from the motor and it's all fine, just the Oil Temp? What's the deal...
Thanks to whoever for the help!!!

There is a service bulletin that instructs Dealers how to address this problem. It's a software calibration issue, and covered under warranty.

thanks for the info.
Chef, my numbers are running exact as yours give one or two degrees. I knew comparing temp. between the engine and the coolant that it had to have been something in the electronics or something, because if I were running an oil temp of 290-300+ my water temp would be significantly more than 190-210. I just want to fix it because no matter how hard I try to put it past me, when it comes on or the warning thing goes off I cant help but to be worried.
