I have had my 06 SRX AWD V6 for a few months now. I just discovered a new switch today. I looked in the manual, and cant find out what it is. It is and on/off switch right down by the hood release. Can anyone tell me what this is?

Yes, I looked at it a little closer, and it does seem to be an aftermarket on/off switch for something.... I can't figure out what it is though.

I do have the name of the previous owner as I contacted them before I bought the vehicle. I am attaching a picture just in case someone would have an idea. Sorry about the crummy picture!

Just a thought.... this car has an aftermarket Remote Start on it. Could this be a switch for that?

Possibly. I had a switch like that on my neon for the fans to turn on when the temperature was creeping up a little too much for my liking. Really there is no way for us to tell what its for. I would say ask PO since you are able to.

I had one on my maxima as well but used it for foglights

It is the Stealth Mode switch...

Turning it ON, makes you invisible to Police Cars, and Stop Light Cameras.

Make sure you don't use it unless you know what it is for. It could be for launching a mini-tomahawk missile.
