2017 XT5, , removed the spare tire and lifted up the blue diaper padding and I found some kind of sealant that I'm not sure what it is.
PleSe look at the attached pictures and tell me if this is in all XT5's . What is its purpose?

Looks to me like the robot that applies the sealant went nuts or it was the first assembly of the shift, and it was doing a test bead. Sort of like when the printer does the Alignment page after you change the ink cartridge.

They may have had a canning sound in sheet metal and until they made some changes in die that stamped panel out they temporarily did that to quite panel. If you look at the underneath of kitchen sink on some of them, they will put material that looks like X Mat will make sink so not so loud when running water and banging against it. Just a thought.

Looks to me like those strips of sealant or adhesive were intended to hold the "blue diaper padding" you lifted in place for placement of the spare tire. Did the padding stick to the adhesive as you lifted it?

That blue pad is sound deadening insulation for the spare tire that is laying on top of it. If you pull out the padding you will create a source of noises from the spare tire moving around, ever so slightly, on the metal body panel below.

You will find that pad only in XT5s with spare tires.
