without the long winded YMMV according to condition, miles, temp, oil type etc.

A buddy and I went and looked at a nice clean 05 with 100K
slight tappet noise from motor(I have a 96 Aurora so know these are a very quite motor.)
Oil pressure was around 40 ish at 2k when warmed up,95* outside.
He seemed a little concerned thinking it should be closer to 55 psi.
I asked salesman if they used bulk oil when changed, comment was no they change all oils and it would
have been full synthetic.(yeah proper answer but is it true)

Never let a mechanic "wing it" - always refer to the factory shop manual.

Oil Pressure (min) @ idle: 35 kPa / 5 psi
Oil Pressure (min) @ 2000 RPM: 250 kPa / 35 psi

Hi Parts68 I have a 2007 with around 17000 miles on it. I typically see about 20 PSI at idle and around 40/45 while driving around ...on the highway roughly about the same. I would be a little nervous with 5 PSI. Hope that this helps.

Aside from the fact that Herb Adams told me these engines do not need any pressure at idle, just flow, I tend to go by the old racers adage: 10 psi per 1000 rpm. Of course having been infected by Jags in my yout, 40 psi at 3k rpm is good, and on the gripping hand my LLT runs 25 at hot ide and 55 at 70 mph. YMMV.
