Haven't needed 4x4 at all in TX yet, so staying in 2WD and getting roughly 16MPG in the city. Separate but related question: does everyone run premium unleaded? I am so far, but only ran regular unleaded in my previous Denali. Dealer told me that unleaded was fine so that's what I did then. Just curious.

I have 1000 miles in 3 weeks with 14 MPG.
I did a little 4WD AUTO and 4WD HI, but mostly 2WD.
We are in Southern Florida which is normally sunny and higher 70's to 80's.
though at this moment is is cool and raining.
I have only been using regular except for the first tank of Premium from the dealer.

Not sure if it has any significance but the new engines are direct injection. Fuel deposits are not compatible with DI, so I would not speculate and save a few dollars using regular.

Averaged an unbelievable 20.5 on a recent 1200 mile trip through the mountains of Colorado and Utah. Mostly 2 lane highway. Interstate speeds averaging 80 with a short stretch in triple digits to see how quiet it might be (still pretty dang quiet!). Premium fuel.

It really depends on how you drive it. I get about 15 MPG city and up to 23 MPG on the highway depending on how easy I am on the right pedal!
Same here..... I stay in 2WD until the roads indicate 4 Auto would be a good idea.....did a 120 mile round trip last week at generally around 70mph....in cruise for much of it, managed 21.8. But one of my other cars is a hybrid and I developed a "sensitive right foot" in the ongoing games the hybrid guys play to see who can "get the best"....so some of that skill pays off when playing with the "big guy!" Around town it stays around 14.

Been In 4 wheel auto for almost 2 months now for the most part. 13.9 mpg In or out doesn't seem to make much difference. Maybe .2 difference.
OnStar app shows 15 mpg average since new.
