Also known as Average Fuel Economy, from the Cadillac User's Manual for my 2018 XT5 Premium Luxury. I typically display it in the right segment and reset it when I fill up. It disappeared over the last few days and has been replaced by the Fuel Economy "Trend" display, which isn't the same thing and is best displayed in the center segment since it is too large for the right or left segments. I scroll through all of the DIC display options and Average MPG is no longer there! See the attached photo clip showing what is there.
How could this happen? I do have software update downloads set to download in background (Settings>>Software Information>>Update Preferences>>Download in Background>>ON). Does this stuff update automatically and is Cadillac updating to buggy code? Has Cadillac permanently gotten rid of it because computed MPG is not even close to real world calculated MPG (in my case, with every fill-up calculated by hand, the computed mileage is high by over 10%)? Could a "Return to Factory Settings" get it back? I hesitate to press that option because I suspect that I will not be really happy with the results.
