What causes the car to ask you open and close all the windows?

I’ve had this happen a couple times when I start the car it asks me to lower and raise all the windows. Does anyone know what causes this to happen? I’m worried that these is something bigger going on which the dealer should take a look at.

This has been reported by some, but usually just one window. Requires a fuse pull trick and then re-calibration of the end-of-travel points as indicated. But given all windows, could a random glitch, or a 12V system issue.
A 12 volt issue might be it. Twice I’ve been notified by OnStar that the car reports what might be someone messaging with the battery. The dealer checked and didn’t find anything, guess I’ll bring it up again at the next service visit. Thanks

I find that this happens to my car after it resets itself. Not the normal routine resets that you don't really notice but I've had a few where the car appeared to have reset similar to after a 12V reset. When turning the car off the music turns off rather than remain on until the door is opened. The next key cycle, the far left dash display is changed from current trip back to the gauge selection screen, infotainment is changed from map screen back to the first menu screen, and I'm asked to reset each of the windows. I'm assuming the car found a fault somewhere and reset itself. There is no SVS light when this happens.

The frequent resets of the infotainment (due to whatever reason) are indeed what causes the trip display to default back to the gauge screen. I see that also (about once a week), and figure it is just a Google app update or something similar. The recalibration of the windows shouldn't be happening - that's not right - and most don't see that.
