i'm having trouble removing the lock cylinder out of my 86 eldo i'm down to the cyl itself. when i went to shut off either the rod fell of the rack or it broke inside steering column

As I recall, there's a little button on the cylinder. You put the key in, push the button and turn the key to the "ACC'Y" position and oull the whole thing out.
