Agreed ready for spring, I've done the same stuff as you, need to send one of my amps back to car stereo, I don't like the sound quality of one of the rear amps, I put all new suspension, tires, fuel injectors, dist. Still trying to figure out the cam sensor and VATS issues on mine, but I've actually been driving mine sometimes when the roads are dry, even a couple times when it wasn't and just hit 70k miles a week ago. I bought mine to drive and enjoy, I'm keeping it nice, but not going to be afraid to drive it! Something to do would be flush the brake fluid so you're set this summer!

What type suspension did you use? Aftermarket (e.g., Arnott) or did you find NOS Allante?
I just put replacement sensatrac shocks and struts and mounts on from rockauto. Nothing special, but they were around $55 a piece I think from rockauto, made a world of difference since my 22 year old shocks and struts were shot!

vats fix http://newrockies.com/
Yes, I looked into newrockies, but the cost is kinda high, a friend of mine has installed newrockies stuff on later model GM with success. I ordered this from baker:http://www.bakerelectronix.com/products_vats/ I recently got the service manual and looked at the wiring for the vats, it looks like I will have to wire this to the ECM and then run a jumper for the starter enable relay. The wiring goes from VATS module to ECM then BCM, I don't think I'll see error messages on DIC judging by the diagram, but I will find out. It got mailed today so I should see it shortly
Hi you don't mention what the problem you are having with the vats system. It has been my experience that the most common failure is in the wiring from the key switch inside the column.if that's the case you can simply ohm out the pellet in the key then go under the dash locate the wiring 2 white wires covered with an orange shrink type tubing un plug it and add the correct value resistors between the wires going into the module .
Yes, last fall the car would not start at all one morning due to theft systems, no matter how many tries. I went to my friends shop and got the correct resistor value with my key, then fired right up, soldered it in and all was good for a few months, then occasionally a no start due to theft, then it left me stranded at my parents house for over an hour, about 20 tries before it started. figured this was the next step, I also called a local dyno tuner that can burn a new pcm chip and eliminate vats. I want to know that my car will restart when I go places, so embarrassing and inconvenient on such a neat car.
