I am dumping my SRX 4, this is the last time I go out to leave from work and the damn thing doesn't start. I could not begin to tell you how low quality this over priced pile of shit has been. Month after month of one problem after another, finally I have had my fill. Buying a new Jeep this week, and oh taking a bath on my trade as noone other than someone who hasn't had to deal with these peaces of crap would ever buy one.

GM is a joke, the PR people here send PM and PM saying sorry.. but taking no action..

No thanks,

Peace out

It is hit or miss with first gen SRX. My 2004 SRX AWD had $1000s worth of repairs before it hit 116,000 miles when I sold it for next to nothing. Suspension and drive train issues were main things, radiators and A/C issues were the last straw. You will enjoy your new Jeep. Love my 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee Summit diesel. GM has nothing to compete with it or the Mercedes, Porsche, VW, BMW entrants in this class. The current SRX is a glorified Chevy. Sad because the original SRX was great to drive, just a bear to own.

we have over 150,000 miles on the 04 SRX4 V8 ... it has only needed minor work during my parents ownership.
The 06 SRX we have is only around 70,000 miles and has had even less issues (not that the 04 has had many to begin with).

They still have both of them and both were obtained used. The 04 is driven week-daily roughly about 120 miles round trip.

Have fun with your Jeep ... no car is going to be issue free, and the bath you take on depreciation of this 'new jeep' from the time you buy it to the end of the factory warranty will be several thousand dollars... which I'm sure will be considerably more than what maintenance would have been on the SRX.
