Hey guys, I've always loved the Cadillac CTS and I finally got my first one the other day, it's an 04 3.6L with 50k miles in great shape!! Very happy with the car. However I just noticed the other night while driving, that after a little bit of driving (not driving fast, or accelerating fast) that there is a weird sounds that sounds a lot like belt squealing however I'm pretty sure it's coming from the rear end, not the engine bay and whenever I press the brakes it stops. And it doesn't come back immediately but it does always come back. Does anyone know what it might be and how I could fix it? I almost think it's a brake pad bracket but it doesn't make sense how it would come and go unless it's really loose. Thanks guys!!

At least one brake pad may be worn to the point where the built-in "squealers" start sounding off to warn you of that fact.
