Re: Way To Go Team Cadillac!!!

Everything good that could have happened for Cadillac did happen. Great race but would have been more exciting without all the cautions.

Re: Way To Go Team Cadillac!!!

About a month ago I was correcting some "smack" that was floating on the Corvette forum regarding just this. There were a couple of forum members claiming that Lou Gigliotti in his Corvette was cleaning the Caddy's clocks. Once I corrected them, they then claimed that with the C6 it would be different. I'll be sure to let them know it wasn't. :histeric:

Big thumbs up to Cadillac for giving us even more street cred'! Delivers on the track and the street.

Re: Way To Go Team Cadillac!!!

It was a fantastic race. Henzler was in trouble once Liddel and one of the other Porshes took each other out.

I'm sure Porshe will complain like crazy. Speed GT tried to give them the series all year but Cadillac hung around. They can complain all they want about Gigliotti but they must remember he also works for GM and benefits from Cadillac's win in the long run (same parts bin, same manufacturer).

Papis had zero weight and was by far the fastest car on the track. Gigliottis move on Henzler was legal and great. I liked the way Cadillac used Archer to their advantage. They let him chase down Henzler and the Porshe lost big time. Archer was trying to build his lead on Pilgrim, Henzler trying to save it for Porshe.

Pilgrim proved you don't have to win races to attain the overall goal. The thing I like about him the most is that he'll tell you the overall goal was for Cadillac to win the Championship. He deserves to be champion.

Alright Porshe, start complaining about how the big bad cars from GM picked on you today. If Speed GT listens to the whiners and gives the title to Porshe, this will be the last Speed GT race I watch. They did everything they could to prevent Cadillac from winning but they did it anyway.

GREAT WORK TEAM CADILLAC!!

Re: Way To Go Team Cadillac!!!

Max Papis finally got his redemption after his car breakdown at the start in Denver and spin-out in the first turn at Mosport. You could say he got a little help from his GM partners to pass Henzler in the race but once he got the lead nobody could catch him.

Damn - I almost traveled to Laguna Seca to see the race in person. I'm kicking myself for not doing so. Although there were a lot of cautions, the ending made it all worth it.

I had tickets but after being at all kinds of other events this year, I had to compromise and make the wife happy. :( Next year I'll be a good boy and make sure I attend the last race. ;)
