Seems to me there was a video of Chrysler's SRT program chief Ralph Gilles driving the Challenger Hellcat when he reeled in a CTS-V wagon on a Michigan road course in a similar fashion to what this video shows. IMO, too many variables to get very excited about this CTS-V vs Godzilla result.

Agree. This video, like the Hellcat versus Vagon video, does not represent equal drivers in equally powered cars. Just fun to watch.

Though the Vagon driver did do a good job making Giles chase him down.

This video is meant as a fun loose comparison. There are obviously far to many variables to even consider it an accurate A:B comparison. If you like watching a built Cadillac take it to a couple of GTR's, then this video does that. If you want to see a Caddy dice it up with a Viper, there's videos for that too. There's even a Hellcat in there also. At the end of the day it's entertainment.

Enjoyable, perhaps - but by the title of the thread you have chosen you have made sure this isn't just any CTS-V that takes down not one but two GTR's, but that it's specifically a D3 CTS-V. Nice free advertising/marketing ploy James .

Thanks Gary, your comment has given food for thought. If that wasn't James driving the D3 CTS-V in the vid, have to wonder who the driver was and what were his/ her driving credentials. As well, might be interesting to know exactly what mods were done to and the $$ invested in this obviously track prepped D3 V ?

Any guesses ?

Safe to say almost anything is pretty much possible if you throw enough $$ at it or into it. What's the saying again , "How fast do you want to go, and how deep are your pockets ? "
BTW, still waiting to hear from D3 as what EXACTLY was the cost of the specific mods made to this track prepped CTS-V.

Grant, you might not have noticed, but D3 did not pick the title of the original article posted on the website. If you look at the link that was the title the posting website decided to use. All we did was share it with a bunch of passionate Cadillac owners that we thought might enjoy the video.

The car is the D3 Legionnaire. It is well documented if you look around. It has gone largely unchanged other than the color for the last 3-4 years. All we do is maintain the vehicle, fuel it up, and slap fresh Toyo R888's every couple of races.

With it being a D3 prepped car would you be good enough to itemize all the mods on this car as well as the specific cost of each mod ?
