Hello Everyone... Just wanted to "THANK" mcowden for the post on **How To Pull Codes {DTC's} ** 10/2/05 11:57am :worship::worship: :thumbsup:
Anyway very helpful post.. Thought i was going crazy "obvious" but moveing on i was also hopeing you would have or may still post more.. The site you posted is another nice one but did'nt cover the codes you and i need but hopefully i can go and buy them !! Going to wait till monday and maybe i will hear from someone on here first.. I know their are more OBD units but i am looking for i guess obd1 codes because the obd2 i did'nt see my codes or the ones you mentioned like
pc0103 pc1599 ip2710 pz2471 i understand C for current and H for history anyway i'm sure you get it...lol... Also want to say i really like this car and think it's amazeing that they made this baby so sweet that she can damn near take care of herself with a bit of help.. :thumbsup: :bighead:
And nice thing you guys errr people have going here look foward to reading more great threads !!!! Plus need to take a few pics of my girl to post on your pic thread !!! Have a Great One !!!!!

Some of the codes are generic for all makes of vehicle while others are specific to a specific manufacturer, I think the sticky explains it but I am guessing that is why you cannot find the codes, you are probably looking at a list of generic codes and these are probably vehicle specific.

Thanks jimsbox !!! I think you are right !!! Guess i will be headed to buy me a code book...lol... Just can't bring myself to take her into the shop cleaned up alot of the sensors in question and fine now if they fail again guess i'll be buying some parts... Very easy car to work on bought this car from my DAD he has had her since day 1 and only 66340 miles... Sorry i get of subject sometimes.. But thanks i thought the same thing on the codes only pertaining to that model just had to check the information super highway to find out !!! This site covers alot of very koool stuff nice pics and nice people !!!! Thanks again....

Oh and dang it forgot who wrote it but hell yes Leather Rocks who would kill that option not me i have always loved this car leather and all,hot or cold hehehe thanks again.....

Thank you too Ranger !!!! And yes sir i understood the code comparision as per car i guess..lol.. But anyway thanks i had written a better message to you explaining things better but will just have to shorten the thing up ...lol... But i firured it out just useing google..lol.. Type in the code and a manual and the site you and the original thread mentioned !!! Just had to register to tell everyone what a great thing it is yall are doing here !!! I never thought in a million years i woult want a Cadillac my Dad has always had them and my granparents as well i have always been a Jeep guy and my ole ford truck !!! But i just really like this Deville rides and runs great hell always has guess i saw it as a status symbol not the kick ass brand that it is !!!! Oh foolish Youth being 50 now still love my jeep but this Deville will get alot of travel time !! And who knows the All Aluminum little bugger may bite me on the butt one day but hopefully as long as i'm kind to her and do the maintainence she will be as good to me as she was to dad !!! Just could'nt let the dealer pay him the chump change they offered for it CRAZY plus they had taken care of her from day 1 ...lol.. Go figure.. Argh sorry be rambleing again !!!!

SteelToe, Don't spend money on a scanner, there is one built into your car already, see below:

It tells you how to pull the codes without buying a scanner. When done take the list and look each up on the sites Ranger listed and write down what each means and whether it is H (History) or C (Current). Post these and we will try to work with it from there.

Hello Again !!! Thanks for the welcome their baller95.. And thanks again jimsbox !!! Yes sir thats how i found yall in the first place looking for a scanner and saw the origanl thread on the issue... You guys really are damn friendly and very helpful !! Hope to keep learning and maybe help out with a few of the things i have been thru as well !!! With this many people looking at stuff theirs always one out their that knows the fault and fix !!!! One or more even... Yall have to please forgive me i do tend to ramble but do promice to hit the subject sooner or later !! Thanks again everyone and look foward to talking and or helping or getting help !!!! Hope everyone is doing well and haveing a great weekend so far !!!!
