V's Value goin up?

Just checked this for the hell of it...3 months ago, with the same info provided, my car was worth ~$38k...Has it really gone up ~$2k in 3 months!? Now I know KBB isn't a true measure of market value, but if it starts going up, that's a good sign right? Forgive me if this has been posted recently.

Don't have any hard-and-fast numbers, but I get the impression that they seem to have stabilized a bit ... doubt they've gone up, though. They'd be even better if there was anything written about them in the likes of C&D, R&T, MT, etc. You don't see anything on them, though ... that's probably because there's been nothing new to report. All those rags seem to care about is bimmer 3-series that has some silly new feature or some astronomically-priced AMG thing :thehand: ... boring!
When most of our warranty's start expiring we will be sure to see another value drop (especially with these stupid diffs :want:)

Here's the KBB link, for the helluvit. What happened to KBB and NADA being the standard by which vehicles values were measured? It'd be nice if my car were worth $40k!!

To me my car is priceless. I would be mortified if something happened and she had to leave for good.

:yeah: I think mine was a Wednesday built car and has been trouble free. If I had to replace it I'd be out looking for another '04 (knowing I'd never find another one that was as good)
So... mine's stayin'... no matter which direction the resale value goes.

I'm going to try and wait for the 2010. A year after the all new 09. I think I will be in good shape. Anyone else with the same plan???
I put all that in and I got 38k in excellent condition. Which actually seems about right for my area. 04-05 V's are still between 38-42k at the dealerships around here. There was a 05 V at Courtesy not long ago that was stickered at 42,995. Had 4k miles... and a "new" 06 that was on sale for 44,595. Both sold in a few weeks time although the 06 had been on the lot for several months. It's funny cause 04 Vettes are going for around 35k in this area. A used V or a Vette will be my next vehicle purchase so I am keeping a close eye on the prices.
Well, I am not too sure about Blue Book or NADA values. I used the www.edmunds.com valuation when I negotiated the purchase of my V. BTW, I bought my 05 V less than two months ago for $34.5k. The car had only 18k miles and the dealership (Renick in Fullerton, CA - they are awesome BTW) gave me the Certified Pre-owned Warranty. That is good for 6 years from the original purchase date or 100k miles. As a side note, I just got the updated DVD and firmware in the mail because I am the new owner of the car and 'cause of the CPO.
Assume a 15-20 percent premium if youre buying from a Cadillac dealer with a Certified Pre-Owned program though. Thats where most of the high V prices come from. Escalades are the same way. 06 Escalade ESV with miles at Ed Morse Brandon is 43000.00 right now, thats a 36k truck at most. As far as the valuation sites, NADA is always artificially high, KBB and Edmunds can be ballpark if you use trade-in or private party figures.
