I went to the Caddy dealer this morning and asked them to print the entire service history for my new-to-me 2003 STS. One of the things listed is this:

R5140 - Module, Vehicle Interface Unit VIU / VCIM - Replace

What is the VIU?
What does the acronym VCIM stand for?
