I've seen 8 second Monza's and crap like that at the track. You never know what you're up against. Even the ugliest POS's can be made fast. That Civic was probably in the low 12's...

I cannot understand why kids would start with 127hp in a vtek Honda and soup it up. (I guess they can only afford these) Why not start with a Camaro, Mustang or any other with a larger engine,etc. Parts are probably more for imports?

Affordability is one of the reasons.
Tons of aftermarket parts and light weight in stock form are main two that comes to my mind.

Also SBC has the biggest aftermarket support in us.

Of course we dont have here that kind of beautys....
Our fastest car is here .
We have one more this kind of car and then few older and newer camaros (with less modifications)
and 3 just ordinary Vettes.
Hey, Estonia is so small, and so far from US - its difficult to get real cars here
