hi all. i'm going to look at a 94 fwb in a rough side of a big city., i have the vin numbers. does anyone know where i can check them out? it's a dealer who has the car. thanks in advance

If you are looking for ownership/registration/mileage reports/accidents, run the VIN through Carfax (or one of its competitors). If you simply want to know what options the car has, run the VIN on the Compine website (link found in the FAQs).

thanks jay i'll check that. I read where you were near ottowa, I'm from ogdensburg you probably cross over here in the burg sometimes. I'm always on the hunt for rear wheel drive cadillacs. again thanks Lee

Ogdensburg? For sure. I use the UPS store there. Used to drive through frequently on my way to school when I went to St. Lawrence in Canton.

cool, There is still some caddillacs floating around over here. There's a junk yard over near canton i know has some older stuff, i'm waiting for the weather to break so i can pick through it. The owner says he has over 3000 junk cars in it.I know him well and he's going to let me pick in it.maybe i'll catch up to you sometime. last summer i ran into a canadian trailoring a 93-96 fwb home, he was parked in the advanced auto parking lot, could that have been you?

Wasn't me with the Caddy at Advanced. I do like that store, though. That's where I bought the clutch for my T56 conversion for my Impala SS.

Send me info on that yard near Canton! They have a website? I'm always ready for a junkyard day.

Did you turn up anything on your VIN?

This Canton yard sounds interesting. You get strange looks from the border people when they ask what the nature of your trip is and you say to visit a junk yard.

thanks for the response guys. i ended up buying the car. The dealer was cool and everything worked out. i had to drive the car home from philly pa, about 400 miles, long ride from a car you don't know . the junkyard near canton is stiles they don't have a web page or anything like that, and sometimes hard to get a hold of by phone, i'm going there very soon and i'll get more info on what they have. i also hit a hugh junkyard in philly named century motors, they had some 40s,50s,60s,70s, and 80s caddy stuff. they part out that stuff and alot of it is rust free.they will ship to you if you like. the phone number is 215-726-0307
