just curious..what was the point in puttin in the cop lights?
im really looking forward to seeing other mods you do because ive seen your photoshop work (amazing btw), i can only imagine if you bring some of those concepts to the cts.

Ok first up i am the KING and i mean the KING of stupid gay mods in here. im sorry to say that is the stupidest thing ive seen on a CTS, let me tell you why,
1- your HID are soo DAMN FREAKIN bright, yo wont be able to even see them flash
2- the police lights are not bright in the first place nevermind hiding them under your license plate
3- the lights just make 2 little dots on the ground so you wont get pulled over but they have shitty output
if you wanna be cool, id suggest a Whelen 90 watt 6 light hide a way strobe kit, the ones the big boys use, put 2 in ur reverse lights, 2 in ur triangle lights and 2 on your DRL or Fogs. as in this video below, these will actaully have some OUTPUT (key word) if you ever want then to be seen at all, im putting those in b/c they are BRIGHT and if im at a car show i can keep them on for attention b/c somebody will see them. other than that ur car looks like a toy matchbox car

Hey, to each his own. Headlights look pretty bright. 12k is a very intense blue.

Every time the cops pull me out, they just interested in the car and want to talk about it. For example where i bought it and how much it was or how the performance data of the engine is.
In germany you have kinda exclusive rights if you drive an american or an other special car, so in most cases they turn a blind eye. :thumbsup:

Yeah, i know the strobes are a little too weak. But i think they are okay, i installed them just for fun. Nothing special.

The guy in the end was driving a 3.0 211HP Opel Omega/Cadillac Catera. It has RWD, but its kinda hard tho get this car into a donut if you haven't enough space.
In the US, having strobes on your vehicle would be illegal for use on public roads. Whether it's illegal in Germany or not, finding emergency vehicles so you can "pose" for a youtube video with your Ebay strobes - gay.
12k HIDs are a big waste of light output. IMO the whole point of HIDs is to get more usable light. Anything over 6000k is just for color/show. You gave up several hundred lumens with the 12k. :bigroll:
I just wanted to make a video where the strobes are shown in a usual scene, in the style of an emergency car. Not with with intent to pose, but to make a good video.

I know that that the HIDs have less light output now. But its enough for me, and in this case i rather have the style than the advantage. You could bring this arguement on most visual mods on cars, with bigger rims you have less performance. But even so everyone put on 20", just for the look.

I'll agree on this. Your car, do whatever. Basically, what everyone here is concerned with is not posing when actual help might be needed. Other then that, do whatever you want. I've seen fake sticker vents just for the sole purpose of looks. I've seen entire interiors in BLUE (cough CaddiKid), so the blue HIDs, fine. I'm running 8k on mine, and I don't really have a problem seeing, and I like the blue light it shows off. Not too intense of a blue, but its to my taste. Do what you'd like, just don't be a knucklehead doing it.

Not saying I hate it, just saying everyone has their own taste. The 12k HIDs are ridiculously blue, and far more blue then I'd go, but... it is his car. IMO its not worse then putting fake air vents like I've seen some of the members do. But even then, so be it. Basically King, everyone on the forums just doesn't want you being an idiot with the strobes. Thats the only concern. Do whatever else you want. (except v badge it. that goes up there with vent stickers. LOL)

LOL... i really had to laugh after i saw your blue fogs in your gallery. You say something against my HID's and strobes but you ridin with f ucking BLUE fogs. Damn, thats at least as dumb as the shit that i do.
Ridin' with fogs on while headlights off is ricey, useless and ridiculous even more if they are blue!!!
And to be a Miley Cyrus fan in this age is... hmm let me think, i can remeber a little pink sign some posts before... maybe that!

Hey the Catera in the vid is cool, its mad max style. The rear suspension is raised as f uck, and the front is lowered. Its covered with dents and scratches all over. Its a real beater and fun car but the engine runs great.
