My friend has a 2001 Pontiac Sunfire SE (hahaha I know) and lately he has been having a vibration problem with it. It happens at both idle and when he's cruising. When he drives the car aggressively, it doesn't smooth out. When my deVilles #5 injector went, it would idle rough and it would be very rough when I was at a constant speed, but when I would floor it, it would smooth out.

I was thinking it's like spark plugs or wires, maybe a fuel injector. What do you guy think?

Oh yeah, its the 2.2 liter I-4, with some after market parts

Bad motor mounts? Failing ignition component like you mentioned? Get the detective kit out...

the *old* 2.2L (NOT the Eco) is kind of a POS... reliable, but no power... POS isn't the right term... but eh... when compared to the Quad4/2.4 Twin Cam/Ecotec.... it is lacking big time.

sounds to me like fuel/ignition problem... pull the plugs see how they look, then I would do the normal stuff from there...

What uh "aftermarket" parts does he have installed?

Is the check engine light on or even blinking, possibly signifying a backfire.

Intake, exhaust, some other smaller stuff too, but I can't remember, oh yeah and a whole lot of stereo equipments (subs, amps, etc etc)

Duh Hondaz r da bomb diggity yo, my 1992 Civic Dx has 200hp cuz its got a huge azz racing exhaust pype, and a stage 4 turbocharger and supercharger plus a 200shot of NOS!!! It'll run a 9.64 1/4 on my 22" rims!!!!
