In my 86 Deville, the vents dont blow the air out. I can feel heat or cold air when the a/c is on. Also when i switch from the auto to defrost, i can hear the flaps switching, but the air isnt being blown out. It is mainly a problem when i need to defrost the windshield. I dont know if it's a fan that is broken or a switch. A friend of mine said it may be a vacum line? Any ideas why air isnt blowing out?

Is the fan for the HVAC running?? Can you hear a fan start up and the sounds of air moving when you switch the HVAC system from OFF to AUTO or DEFROST??

No, theres no sound. The fan doesnt seem to be on.

Then your problem is a dead fan or control module. I think on your car it may be on top of the HVAC box on the firewall.

Most likely it is the Blower motor Power Module located on the hvac case under the hood.
