VATS problem not a VATS problem after all

First of all, thanks to all who of you for your input; much appreciated.
My problem was an intermittent no-crank situation. I thought maybe it was a bad ignition switch or maybe a VATS problem. But if it was VATS, the security light would have stayed on, and I believe it would have thrown a code. Neither of those presented.
Turns out it was a loose connection at the base of the steering column where the harnesses join.
Maybe this can help someone else before they swap ignition switches or solder resistors.
Thanks again, all.
