Nice, I guess you plan on going very fast in a full sized SUV. Have fun and stay safe.
Having a V1 doesn't mean going fast. It's a means to avoid tickets. I have used V1 since 2003. I had the remote display with my escalade hybrid and with the new one just got some time to install it as well as the rear mudflaps.

Yeah I keep a radar detector at all time to avoid tickets. For some reason, officers here like pulling over expensive vehicles. Probably they know that people with expensive cars are definitely going to pay the fine.

It happened to me once when I was driving 5-9 over the speed limit with the H2 (yep the most ticketed vehicle), the cop pulled me over then made an accusation for me going 15 over, which is a $253 fine and 4 pts. I didn't want to argue with him, so just took the citation and took a course to get rid of the points.

Have installed a V1 and added the remote display. I wanted to use the SEO retained accessory power fuse#8 but my fuse tap would not fit. Hence I used fuse#17 and manually turn ON and OFF the V1.

My Valentine 1 has become such a pain with false alarms that I barely use it anymore if at all. States that use the Traffic Monitoring System use K-Band emitters (every 1 mile or so) and it drives my V1 berserk. When we go to our summer place every year we travel through Ohio and they have these things everywhere I have to turn it off to maintain my sanity. So far Ohio is the only place I've experienced it. Some light research say the new Escort has special filters that filter it out but I don't know for sure.

Somebody from fb suggested using waze with my V1. It helps detecting road hazards, stalled vehicles but I ended up providing speed traps waiting to catch speeders using my V1.
