Uuc Shifter Sale

here is a short write-up from UUC explaining why their shifter is the best choice in short shifters. we have them on sale through the end of may for $349.00 plus $30.00 for the poly-urethane mount bushings plus a small shipping charge. call or email me at the info below.....

With the luxo-muscle philosophy in mind, UUC developed the CTS-V Ultimate Shifter with a European heritage of technical, quality, and comfort features unmatched by any competitor.

This is no simple “cut down” shifter… it retains original shifter height for good ergonomics and uses fine-tuned leverage adjustments to reduce shifting distance 30%.

Using UUC's unique bearing pivot system and ultra-precise machining, the result is a 100% stainless steel work of art. 2-section shifter contains internal vibration/noise isolation using lifetime silicone damper. This means none of the buzzing or vibration commonly associated with simpler designs. With silky-smooth bearings and mass-enhanced shifting mechanism, subjective shift force is increased only slightly... but with a significant increase in precision. No other brand matches these features or can make these claims.

All of this adds up to the revolutionary equal to the CTS-V, the shifter that should have been original equipment, and backed up by UUC’s lifetime warranty.

For anyone that doesnt have one yet this is a great excuse!! You can actually get into reverse; Lindsay is the best!!!

i told ya i'd be there ASAP beginning of the month ...even if i have to pay the slight increase in price...

bill has to replace my reverse sensor switch anyways

nothing like doing 60 (read 85) down the highway with your reverse lights on and wondering why no one will get behind you!!!!!
I'm patiently waiting for my UUC to arrive later this week! HHHHMMM, HHHMMM, HHHHMMM, HHHMMMM!

My UCC shifter broke in two day before yesterday at 1pm and left me stranded in North Mississippi. I had to have the V towed back to Memphis to my car tech, arriving at 7:30 pm. When he looked at the problem the next day, the shifter had separated inside the handle. When I had tried to put the car in gear, I could move the shifter handle in a circle a full 360 degrees! I contacted UCC, and they said they had a problem with the wrong spec metal being used in the first batch of shifters. They next day aired me a new shifter at no charge, which was nice, but I am out about $350 for towing charges and labor to pull the old shifter out and put the new shifter in. I did a search on this forum, and there were some threads about this problem, but I never saw them. UCC emailed me a tracking number for the new shifter, which means they still had my original info in their computer. Why didn't they send out a recall notice to those of us that bought the first shifters? This would have saved me $250 ( I would have gladly paid for the labor), and a day of my time.

My shifter is way old,has to be part of the first batch and is fine!I think I could swap mine out in 30 minutes. You should have crawled under the car and put it in 4th and off you go.

i'm sure if you approached them in a calm fashion ... told them the story and pointed out that because there was an issue with their product ... and their product only that you were stranded cost 350 for the tow etc... see if they will compensate you since it was a known engineeringt issue ....

i know i did something similar when my shortshifter broke in my VW... they paid 50%
Feff has a V project for the Memorial Day weekend, installing his UUC shifter.

Luke, it arrived today. Thanks!

Luke,

I dont like how tall my shifter is. Could I take a drmel tool and cut the shifter down .25" without causing a problem?

Thanks,
mike
The UUC is a MUST ad for the V... It takes the slop out of the stock shifter and makes this car MUCH more fun to drive..

Dont settle for anything less than the best. Get a UUC (especially while they are on sale!)

Sale prices extented through the end of this week (6-08-07) $349.00 for the shifter and $30.00 for the poly-urethane bushings (which are a must have no matter what shifter you have!!!) call or email me to place an order. thanks to the HUGE response on this top of the line product!!
Here's another confirmation that this is one sweet piece of engineering in combination with the upgraded bushings.

Great GP pricing and fast delivery from someplace up in Virgini-I-A. THANKS, Luke!

Someone wrote "front" on the lower part of the shifter. Thanks for the help.

Absolutely quiet. I think even quieter than the stock piece.

Precision gates with nice affirmation it's in the right place.

No more fighting with reverse.

I even like the lower position of the knob.

Should be at least worth .2's at the strip.

All in all, a fairly easy DIY install except for one old bushing being "seized". Nothing a set of extended, angled needle nose pliers, some cussing and a lil destructive steam release couldn't take care of.

I'd rate it a four beer job.

Suggestions:

Remove the console (a must to reduce access frustation)

A couple layers of masking tape around the tunnel opening (gotta protect the skin)

One deep well 10mm socket, one shallow 10 mm socket, one 13mm deep well socket, big flathead screw driver, those needle nose pliers and, dammit, forgot what size allen wrench.

None of the directions showed where or how those spacers fit into the end of the shifter (wasn't too hard to figure out but would have been nice for them to at least get an honorable mention in the directions)

Go ahead and get an extra lighter outlet or two and wire 'em into the console's rear outlet wiring while the console is sticking up in the air. Never can have too many outlets.

Man PLEASE! I love driving this car!

I too have just joined the uuc club... Going to the track at the end of the month with CTS2NV, so i'll definitely put this shifter to work! I installed my maggie myself, is this going to be harder? Lowering the tranny sounds pretty major!
i don't know if its lazy ... or what... but i have jacks and access to a lift and about 10k worth of snapon tools and i'm paying ewill to put mine in...
