I'm in the market for a used ATS-V with a manual tranny. There is a CPO'd one (luxury, recaros, lane assist, etc) with about 34k miles that has been on sale for a couple of months. They have reduced the price from 41k to 35k. It does have an accident on the carfax and I thought that maybe that's why it's not selling but they have another ATS-V with a clean carfax and they have also reduced the asking price on that one to about the same. Is it a buyers market for these cars or does it just depend on color/options/etc?

It always been a buyer's market, jump in!

ATS-V, or really any luxury sports sedan (M3, C63, Giulia QV) was never intended to be a volume seller.

Average joe has been buying SUV>sedan for years, which has added to breathtaking depreciation.

I love it since I love to drive, and I love high performance sedans. IMO, their trash is our treasure!

I drove a '16 6M at a local dealer last weekend. It was listed for $39,900. It was pretty nice, had over 30,000 miles, and it was pretty loaded. I offered 36,500, and they said no way, the internet has made pricing tight and the price is pretty much the price. They also said sedans are hard to sell, as everybody wants SUV's. Still Looking for a 6M Sedan in any color but black with a black interior.

I have heard the ATS-V is a bit slow downshifting on the auto side, nice to see you going manual. I'd do the same! I'm waiting for the CT5iver to come out and decimate the resale of the current CTS-V, maybe. It's a tough call in MN. That car is absolutely Insane though, I SO want one. I just gotta hold out till 21-22 and those CTS-V's will be a bargain!

Sedans are on the decline - big time. I got my current CTS NEW at about .667 of MSRP. Now it was NEW, old stock though but the 3rd gen! That's how insane pricing is/was on sedans. I might tire of the body style but that is doubtful after seeing the replacement Caddy.

I purchased my 2016 ATS V Sedan with a MT in December last year. It was at a dealer in Austin TX for 2 days before I stumbled upon it. It had 32K on the clock and was CPO, zero accidents, pretty loaded up with Recarros, carbon fiber package, red brakes, luxury package, etc.. Asking price was around 41,750. When I finally got around to making an offer, I ended up being 2nd in line and there was 1 guy before me.

After a few days of what ended up being the 1st buyer flaking out, the best deal I could get was 1K off asking price. And from what I was told, there was a small line of people interested people behind me. I honestly believed them too, because leading up to this buy, I've reached out to a number of clean cars to express interested and many of them were sold.

Every now and again, I look for Manual Sedans across the country, and I only see between 10 and 15 at any given time.

When I was shopping, manual sedans sold very quick. It took a while to find, and the were never much room for negotiation. Used, I dont know about new ones.
If you want a manual car, there is only the m3 to compete with, so once they dropped into an appropriate price range, the demand has been relatively strong.

I think a lot of it does depend on colors/options etc. I also think its gonna be much harder to move a vehicle with an accident if theres one next to it with a clean title for basically the same price. Theres also the possibility that the car doesnt show well in person and has damage or a crappy repair job that is obvious when viewing in person.

Theres a lot of factors at play, if its the car I think you are talking about I dont think that red color or that interior is very high up on the list of whats desirable.

IMO if it was the same car, but was blue or grey with all black interior it would have already been sold 2 months ago.

yep, thers not many of them, with the desirable options, colors, theyre gonna sell quick. People looking for an M6 ATSV sedan probably are searching for specific colors, options etc as well.

Certain colors, red plain black etc, and the lighter interiors seem to put a lot of people off

Just traded my White Diamond Tri 2013 CTS-V for a loaded 2016 ATS-V SEDAN CPO with under 7250 miles. Paid a bit more than I'm wanted but got good $$$ for the Vee (under 28k and modded).

One i checked out last week in SoFlo sold yesterday too.

They are selling.

I’ve been looking at ATS- V’s for awhile now. I have a 2011 cts right now so I’m looking to upgrade. Not many options in my area. Usually less than 10 depending on the distance I entered. I found this https://www.ettlesoncadillac.com/Ve...ac-ATS_V_Sedan-4dr_Sdn-Hodgkins-IL/3396426353

Which has reduced in price by about $4,000 so far. Not crazy about the tan interior but I guess it does contract the other colors nicely. The satin steel is kind of nice but I’d have to see it in person.
I’ve had a black car for awhile now so I wanted something different, like grey/charcoal.
Is $50k a reasonable price for a very low miles ats v with all the packages?

Carfax says the engine was replaced at 1.5k miles. If it weren't for that and if it were a CPO, I'd say it's a pretty good deal for a low mileage 2018. I'm not a fan of the tan interior either.
There's no sunroof or painted calipers as well - if that matters to you.

Its a GM fleet car from an auction. I would not even consider for more than 40k, especially that they blew the engine on a brand new car. That's even generous. Who knows what this car served as. These youtube "journalists" can be rough on their victims.

yea thats very weird, how do you even blow up a stock engine like this with the 1000 safety nets built into the tune and being conservatively tuned anyways

Maybe just a manufacturing issue from day 1?

Yeah I thought the engine might have just had problems from the beginning and someone didn’t actually mess with it.

I also saw this one that I liked, but still kind of pricey.

Price went down $2k in the last week and a half. I may go see some of these in person to also see if they will negotiate or bring the price down a bit specially if I have a trade in.

I wound up buying a car near Cincinnati. Silver 16 6M ATS-v sedan with solid black Recaros and driver information. It has 52,000 miles. It was a fleet lease with complete GM service history. Out of bumper to bumper but has powertrain warranty. The tires are good tread Michellin AS3's, but god are they noisy. Rotors had a significant pad transfer to the rotors. It felt like the wheels where going to fall off stopping. I bought it for $31,400. On the way my talking to my brother, he started looking it up online, and said to burnish the brakes. 3rd gear WOT about 60mph with the brakes applied for 10 seconds, seems to have fixed the issue. I'm pretty happy. Silver was my fourth color choice, but I was trying to avoid safron seat inserts. Assuming I drive ok, what's it going to run in the 1/4. It does feel faster than my [email protected] V1 CTS-V.

I once owned an 05 CTS-V (I took my wife out on our first date in that car). I don't keep cars very long, I average 11-14 months per car. I simply have car A.D.D. It drives my wife crazy, but hey, I was like this waaay before I met her, and she's had the opportunity to drive, sit in, and own some really cool cars because of my sickness.
I started poking around Corvettes recently, because of all of the incentives and overstocked inventory before the C8 drops, but I put on about 100 miles a day roundtrip (to work) almost 6 days a week. I think I want something more comfortable. That led me to the ATS-V, but I don't know where you guys are finding these sub $40k prices on lower mile cars? Every ATS-V I seem to like (from 16-18) is hovering around $50k. I would only do a sedan (I'm not a fan of the coupe shape. No offense to anyone here, just my preference), 6mt is a must, and Recaros. I don't care about color (just no bright colors), but I do care about condition and mileage. I tend to always sell my cars with better physical and mechanical shape than when I bought them, so I do like my cars to not look or feel beaten up. Because every price I see on the ATS-V is around $50k (more than I'm willing to spend since we're buying another house and will likely trade out of both of our cars within a month or 2 of each other), I started poking around at the 18 or 19 Camaro 2SS 1LE. You can find those, with low miles, sub $40k (or even around $40k new with a bunch of incentives and rebates). I know the Caddy might be a better overall car for my needs, but the SS 1LE offers a killer performance bargain. I'm in no rush, so I'll keep poking around. Any advice would be greatly appreciated...
Thanks guys

My opinion is that now is the time to buy a 6M. All the ones I found were Fleet/Lease vehicles which were wholesaled at auction before finding their way onto dealer lots. 2016 was by far the biggest year for 6M production. I think about 400. After all the lease cars make it through auction and into private hands, they will be much less available. In the near future, 2017's will start coming through the auction, and production was much lower, like 80. 2018 6M production is pretty low. Most 30,000ish mile cars on new car dealer's used lots have some bumper to bumper left and a lot of powertrain warranty left. Higher milage cars like mine only have the powertrain left. For me this was fine. I'll probably tune the car after a bit anyhow, which will void the remaining warranty.

Where did you find the 6M production numbers? I know there were about 318 Coupes built in '17 and I'm curious as to how many of those coupes were 6M like mine. My lease is ending in about a year and I am definitely keeping this beast.
