Upgrading to Magnetic Ride Control (MRC)

Looking to see if some of us can collaborate on how and if we can upgrade our suspensions to include MRC. I'm not sure this is possible for the AWD folks, since Cadillac does not give MRC as an option when building one.

My questions. (I'll update the answers below ea. question as they come along.

Q. Where do the control modules mount to?
A.

Q. Does the control modules work independently or with ECM? I'm assuming it works w/ECM because of my next question.
A.

Q. How does the "Mode" button communicate with the control modules?
A.

Q. Will this require another ECM or would the dealer be able to reprogram?
A.

Q. Are the harnesses already in our car and we can just plug in the modules or do we need to purchase these as well?
A.

Q. What's the difference between all the codes for the springs? (See part #s below to see what I'm talking about)**
A.

**I saw another thread and a member was saying that the ride heights are different. Maybe these codes can tell us why.

Below is a list of part numbers and there descriptions to get started. Maybe I missed something that someone else can point out. Hopefully, some MRC members can chip in some help.

Good deal on the ATS for 27K. I got the Premium mainly for the MRC but I only paid 35K for it.
I've searched for any cases where MRC was added aftermarket and couldn't find any success stories.
Hope you get it to work but it seems like you might need to talk to a GM engineer/service expert.

You do realize you sound like the vast majority's opinion since the dawn of time of just about anything that hasn't been done yet. But if Seward had been swayed by that sentiment we would never have had Sarah Palin. So let the pioneers do their thing and you might benefit down the road from it or the unexpected byproducts.

22820297 - Position Sensor Right $40.58
22931831 - Shock Left Discontinued?
22931832 - Shock Right Discontinued?
20767141 - Coil Spring w/o AWD w/Sport Susp., Code 8GV, 9GV $31.68

20767143 - Coil Spring w/o AWD w/Sport Susp., Code 8GT, 9GT $31.68

I came up with $2030.28 for parts without tax or shipping. That also does not include the two rear shocks which a few gm parts websites say are discontinued, but I figure they'd run somewhere around $300 - $400 each, so figure on a total of around $2700 bucks for parts alone, plus anything that might be missing from the list.

Anybody know if any company adjusts/tunes the MRC for more performance oriented settings?
FWIW, I didn't see anyone offer it on the C6. The hardcore track guys would pull out the MRC and replace it with adjustable coilovers. They were much more flexible than 2 settings.

Yes, I used to have KW V3 coil-overs on my Legacy GT and the range of adjustabilty was phenomenal.
I became obsessed with adjusting them all the time but learned a lot in the process.
They also squeaked over every bump in the winter. Finally got fed up and angry at all the money I spent on that car.
Traded it in for the ATS.
Now I am looking for new things to drive me crazy on this car.
