PDX Suspension includes Sway Bar, Springs and Struts right?

How much you think for all the parts new?

Anyone done this conversion? I know someone here got the parts and did it, but I can't recall who, and a search isn't helping. How much all together?

I changed out my suspension. Not sure if "PDX" was the RPO code for the Sport suspension. I got all my suspension parts from Pietroraimondi when he first started preparing his CTS for SEMA, so I don't know how much the parts would cost through a dealer. I found a local shop that replaced the springs, shocks & bars + 4 wheel alignment for $300. Along with changing the wheels to the factory 17's, I am very happy with the end result compared to the original 1SB Lux. suspension.

Are you talking about the OEM CTS Sport Suspension or the CTS-V suspension. Ody did the V sway bars and with Eibach lowering springs. Ody understands the suspension pretty well. I'm sure he will see this and comment Did you know all the CTS parts are at the FAQ section. I downloaded it to my desk top to make it easier to access.

Unfortunately on the FAQ, the RPO guide is only for 2003 and Parts list is for 2003/2004. The other RPO lists are for the CTS-V. The PDX option was for the sport suspenstion, without having to get the full-up 1SC package, for 2005. I believe it comes with non-load leveling rear sport shocks, since you didn't have to get the HID's to get the PDX (if anyone knows differently, please chime in here, since I'm going from memory).

The sport shocks and springs are different from the lux and base models, as well as the rear sway bar. I think the front sway bar is the same on all CTS's (other than the V). A trip to the dealers parts department may be in order to get the correct part numbers, unless someone here has access to their database.

My guess is that new PDX parts will run ~$ 250 for a set of springs, ~$300 for the shocks, and $100 for a new rear sway bar and bushings. Your best bet might be to find a used set.

Ody,
You sent me the CTS Parts list and it does include 2004. Most of those part numbers should be good. It hasn't failed me yet.

It's a great reference. If we had an updated 05/06 one we'd be golden! The PDX wasn't an option in 03/04 so unfortunately, it's not in there, but the parts that are (sport suspension components) should be interchangeable.

If I recall correctly, somewhere it was referred to as the FE3 and FE4 suspensions? Or is that CTS-V Only?

I did a thread to see if anyone could help us get the '05 & '6 parts list. Got my hands smacked and said it was illegal. Well so was the '03 & '04. A little bad isn't real bad is it?:halo:

I don't think there is anything wrong with it. We're just enthusiasts trying to figure out and modify things on our cars (Using GM Parts none the less!) They would be wise to let us have the part list so we could buy more product from them

My guess it's the dealerships that gripe. We all go to wholesale places like GMPD.

I believe it goes:

FE1 - soft ride
FE2 - sport suspension (non-load leveling)
FE3 - Sport suspension (w/load leveling Nivomats)
FE4 - Stock V suspension
FG2 - V high performance suspension option

The 1SC comes with the FE3 suspension. The PDX (without HIDs) would probably have the FE2s.

True, I'd rather give the business to my dealer, I enjoy having a good relationship with my parts guy, if I can get a good deal
