Hi I have a 2014 Cadillac XTS and the CUE screen has been replaced once at dealer. But now it’s having issues again. The screen is cracked and the touch is not working. It sat in body shop for months although they will not take responsibility for it. I will have to get another one installed. My question is can i install the upgraded one that has applecarplay and shows rear backup camera on screen? My original one did not have these. I thought the first one showed rear backup camera but when the second one was installed at Sewell Cadillac in Katy Tx they said it never did because I didn’t have a backup camera. Not sure what I need to do to get this updated so it has a backup camera and so it has Applecarplay. I cannot afford a new car. My vin# is 2G61L5S36E9218167. Please help as I really want this done.

Upgrade CUE so it includes rear backup camera and Apple CarPlay?
This subject has been beaten to death. There are plenty of posts regarding this upgrade if you use the Search function. There is also plenty of info in the dedicated CUE section. Not having a rear camera requires more work/$$$.

The upgrade to allow Apple CarPlay requires two modules to be replaced. The screen has nothing to do with that. Replacing the screen can be done for $200 or less if you are handy or know someone who is. To get CarPlay, you will have to purchase a radio module and human interface module from a 2016 or 2017 Cadillac. These will then need to be programmed with your VIN number before being installed. This is all available online on sale for $800. I'm at the airport waiting for a flight, so had time to type it up 😁
