Just poking around on the interwebs trying to figure out which oil I want to use for my oil changes now that my warranty is done and I found this info from GM:

Then searching the term DexosR comes up with this list of licensed oils for our engines:

This may open up some additional shopping options for those of us who buy our own oil. (I couldn't find any documentation that Supercar was Dexos2, for example, but now I know it meets DexosR and is suitable for use.)

Mobil 1 ( 10w-40 ) became Dexos2 approved back in 2019 when it became factory fill on the new 2019
Corvette C7 ZR1 LT5 ( 755hp ) motor which now carries the Super Car Lable. ( Ask me how I Know )
Since owning my CT6-V for the
last 5 years thats the only oil l have used with no issuies !
On a side note Mobil 1 also makes the OEM motor oil for Toyota !

But apparently not all Mobil 1 versions or viscosities; only the two shown below in our 0W-40 viscosity are licensed by GM:

No Supercar and no European car formulas of 0W-40 were licensed for Dexos2 (at least according to the Dexos website). The table in the top post shows we have a greater selection now with DexosR licensing.
