Update your 03 tail panel

where's the link?

Let's try this again. My last thread got pulled.
I know there are a lot of 03 cts owners who would love to get rid of their GRAY trunk panel. I found this auction on Ebay today. $200 or best offer is great deal. This mod does make a big difference in the look of 03 cts. This is not my auction. I'm just relaying the deal.

Oh yeah ,Was there a recall? Will they give me a sport spoiler and some wheels too?

Not a recall, but since there is clear plastic above the backing, moisture from either rain or a wash job tends to accumulate behind the clear top - doesn't look too good.

If you are under warranty, you can go to your service manager & tell them it's leaking. Lots of folks, myself included, have been successful in getting a free body color replacement . Water will get behind the replacement unit also, but won't be visible.

im at 120,000km i tried to talk a dealer into it today by saying i`ll come back for oil changes and brakes if he changes my bezel but he was like "NO DUDE":tisk:

This forum pays off again for me. I just has my 03 updated to the colored Bezel for free. Thanks!

DAMN!!!! i wonder if my warranty coves the bezel

I have to give my dealer, (Hubacher Cadillac in Sacramento) great credit. I dropped my car off at midnight, without an appointment and a short note and they just changed it and I had my car back before noon.

No questions asked.

Trackerdog, was that or without a warranty? I dont have a warranty and am wondering if they (Hubacher) would swap mine. I may hit them up about it when i get my steering wheel position sensor, among other things, replaced.

with a warranty give it a shot, 99 percent of the people who have done it have successfully got theirs changed under warranty. Be advised 1 member brought his in and they slapped some sealant on it and called it a day, they really dont have to change it, but they usually will.

I have a question, do you people read???? or just get a hardon that you can get something for free and start posting the same thing for the third time in one thread.

I have about 60k on my CTS.. can I still get it replaced under warranty?

wow what?.. i bought my car used from a chevrolet dealer. just a simple yes or no question man.

I just contacted my dealership and asked.. they said they woudl need to check it out and see if it requried sealing.. perhaps i should contact a differetn one.
