Well I e-mailed Billy Boat a couple nights ago and asked him about how the front 02's were going to reach. I attached a picture of me pulling the 02 sensor tight to the header collector with the harness un-cliped from the back of the head/Block.
He then replied with this.. "I will look at it on my car tomorrow. I know the rear will reach. You may have to put the O2 near the front on the collector and at an angle."

And that he will let me know what he finds out..
So as of right now I still don't know what I am going to do about the front 02's yet. Most likely, just have the bungs welded in straight and buy some longer 02's.
Anyway, I am getting anxious to get this new system on and am planning on getting the 02 bungs welded in at the beginning of next week. The welders that do stainless were away this week doing some work at a shut down, I hope they are back on Monday.
The ARP studs came in today so I just got done putting them in and I hope to have her back up and running by Wednesday so I can bring her to the track next Friday...:yup:
Her are a couple pics with the ARP studs in..

Make sure you DISCONNECT THE BATTERY!!!!!
Yep, I agree totally.... Always disconnect the battery it only takes 10 seconds to do and can save you a lot of problems in the end. If you look in my pics above you can see that she is disconnected...

Well the update for today...
I brought my headers to work today and had one of the welders tig in my 02 bungs. I also brought in my 02 sensors and at break time extended them.
So now after supper tonight I will try to get her all back together and get some pictures.
Also when I just got home from work I had an e-mail From Billy Boat and he checked into the front 02 sensors reaching and where he welded in the bungs I guess they do reach. But he said they were to tight so he overnighted me a couple extenders. It figures I just cut mine up today and extended them too.. haha I guess it is still good though. this way if one of my solder joints breaks I can just go buy some new 02 sensors and I will already have the extenders here on the shelf..;)
Anyway, need to go pick up my son from daycare and then grab a quick supper and then right to wrenching.. I hope to have some pictures later tonight with how it all looks back together.. As long as I don't run into any problems anyway..

Bill,

You have to be careful when extending your own wires. I've heard of people having resistance problems in the wire and connectors they used. Just something to think about if you throw a code. Rick might be able to shed some more light on this. I still can't believe the new headers didn't have the bungs already welded in. That seems very strange. The more I read all the header threads the more less inclined I am to get them.

Shane,
I wouldn't think twice to just go ahead and get the new headers. I have had nothing but great customer service With Billy. I never contacted him about the blown gaskets or cats until juat about a month or so ago. He overnighted me their new copper wrapped gaskets and then we got talking about the headers and cats. I told him how I wanted my collector to converter pipe machined for a doughnut gasket. With in a couple weeks to three I had them at my door. I think they were the first set and maybe a little rush to get out to me so the front 02 bungs were overlooked. I told Billy about the problem and asked for him to just send me a couple 02 bungs and I would take care of getting them welded. Next day at my door again, great customer service. I then at the end of last week test fit the headers and didn't think the front 02's would reach, told him about it and he said he would check it out and get back to me. E-mailed me back today and said that they were in fact going to be to tight and is again overnighting me 02 extenders.
I personally think B&B has great customer service, at least they have by me and for that I am proud to run the full B&B on my car. So don't be afraid to get the new design as it is a great system. I am 99 percent sure that the new kit will have the front 02 bungs welded in and will most likely come with 02 extenders. More money out of Billy's pocket and a great way to go the extra mile and keep the B&B name were it has been for many years... At the top....:worship:
Going to eat supper now and then will be going out to do some wrenching, pics later.. I am going to put the system together with the cats first for pictures, and then the test pipes will be going in to be ready for the track on Friday... New personal best, coming soon...:D

Hopefully, Billy is adding the o2 extenders once he ships me the headers....as for the gaskets I need to see if the person who sent me the x-pipe also send me the gaskets.

Well she is back together..
It took me a little longer than I thought it would this time, about 4 to 4 1/2 hrs to put it back together. That was with taking the exhaust apart three times to though. I didn't drive it yet as I need to pick up a couple band clamps tomorrow on the way home from work. I did start it a few times, had a couple leaks so I had to re-do a couple things.
I will give final results tomorrow night after I put a few miles on it, but for now here are some pics.. Oh, and damn I need a lift, this laying on my back on a cement floor is getting old.. haha:hammer:
