Thought I would let everyone know what final repair solved the "shuddering" on my 2007 SRX. I purchased all four rotors and pads, at the suggestion of other SRX owners on the Forum. I started with the front left wheel
then the front right, then right rear, and did the left rear last. Upon removing left rear the wheel, I discovered the 36mm axle nut was almost completely unscrewed off the threaded end of the half shaft.
Needless to say, I no longer have the "shudder" when braking. I believe the issue may have been the loose 36mm nut all along. I thought this info might help others. I checked all the other three axle nuts to make sure
they were torqued tight.

A loose axle nut will not cause pulsation when braking. It could cause a creaking when going from drive to reverse or vice versa.
