There is an on/off switch in the same panel as the parking assistance button and the stability control button. I have no idea what it's for. I drive with it on and I drive with it off and so far I have not seen a difference. Does any one know what this switch is for? Here are a few pics.

probably aftermarket, someone had put in.... there is only supposed to be those 2 switches and a dead panel directly above it. I installed two custom switches for my FM modulator and NavTv on/off in the dead panel.

It's an aftermarket switch, not factory. The vehicle's previous owner had some kind of electrical accessory hooked up to it. Like most add-ons, they probably removed the accessory and sold it before selling the vehicle. Unless something lights up when you turn the switch on, it doesn't do anything.

Given I see a NAV screen in the picture.... Could the be the VSS bypass so that you can change settings as you drive?

That is deff not OEM. What I would do is pull the panel out & see if there any wires hooked up to it. If there are, trace them to where they go.

FYI: The red x is a joke by the way when the pic link stops working
