When I first reported this not only to onstar and the dealership, over a year ago, and they said "they've never heard of this problem "
Guess someone who makes millions a year making cars should read this community site , rather than look at us like we have 2 heads...
If it wasn't for this feed , I would still be looking at " ----" where the time should be

This is from a GM bulletin.

Note: There is no manual clock set fix or software update correction for the following
programs: 2005-2007 Cadillac STS with RPO YQ4, 2008-2009 HUMMER H2 with RPO
UVB or UUK, 2004-2009 Pontiac Grand Prix with RPO US4, 2005-2009 Saab 9-5 with
RPO U3U. Please apologize to the customer for this inconvenience and inform them that
the clock will return on its own on August 16, 2020.

Corrected note at bottom of page:
Released November 15, 2019
November 22, 2019 – Added a Supersede statement, updated the Model Years for STS,
added the GMC Yukon XL, HUMMER H2, Pontiac Grand Prix, Saab 9-5 Models, updated
the Involved Region or Country section and added a Note to the Correction section.

So on August 16th, 2020 all 2005 - 2011 STS' clock issues should fix automatically. Let's keep our fingers crossed 🤞.

Is that for cars without on board navigation?I Downloaded the file on this feed and burned to a CD, put it in navigation slot in car and it will update it.
I did it a couple of weeks ago and it works,
Even if you disconnect battery

The picture only shows the one with the onboard nav screen, RPO YQ4. That's all I know. Not sure of the other version.

If you would have looked further back in this thread, you would see that some people have used the firmware to update 2005-2007 STS models even though it is only for the 2008-2011. There are some issues such as a button on the steering wheel not working for voice commands or something like that so if you want to know more, go back and search. The time might come back but that does not mean that the issue is fixed if you lose power, so using the update from the bulletin that I've posted as well as other users here and originally from Denso is the one that has worked for most people. Also there were issues with the date so it will be interesting to see how that works on Aug. 16th or whatever the "magic" day is.

Here again is the original GM bulletin with the fix:

Most likely the date will be wrong for the 05 thru 07s, but you'll be able to set the clock after the 16th, if you don't update the firmware.

Another issue may still be the time it takes for the satellites to be received, since knowing the correct time and date helps with this.

Hopefully some owners will let us know after the 16th.
