I hit a pothole a couple months ago on the BQE while doing about 55 mph - I think it had to have been 6" deep and 20" across. I thought I was going to wreck and can't believe the tire didn't pop. Nothing seemed obvious driving at city speeds, but Friday we took the car on a 400 mile road trip to NC and on the way down and back, once you get over about 30 mph you hear what sounds like a prop airplane flying directly overhead coming from the same front wheel side where I hit the pothole. It varies with speed and in the 45-55 mph ranges is really loud and never really goes away regardless of direction of turning, applying brakes, etc. I ordered a new hub from gmpartsdirect and see that is looks simple enough to replace. I'll prob have a local mechanic do the work. Hoping that is the issue. Not really asking a question, just venting :)
