Hi
I have looked through my PDF manual and some posts, Went through the car wash and my wipers did not start, as expected with a rain sensor, from what read on a thread the rain sensor is controlled on the stock using the intermit wiper selection, faster less sensitive slower more sensitive,300C has a menu I can go in showing on my instrument cluster, here I can chose settings, sensor on,auto seat, language, does the SRX have the same. I want to check this since I already have other problems, maybe ths one just does not work

Most SRX's did not come with the rain sensing feature, as (someone can correct me) I believe it was an add-on feature. All SRX's have wiper activated headlights. If you definitely have rain sensing wipers, they may not come on as expected in a car wash since the vehicle would be in neutral if it is pulled by the car wash. A couple of other thoughts:
- do you really want wipers to come on inside a car wash? The rotating brushes could damage them.
- the track can damage your very $$$ rims

Now guys take it easy, I only say the 300C because I also have one and the Cadillac, just using it as a reference not as a comparison, and yes I do have a rain sensor I can see the infrared box in front of the mirror and from the top of the windshield, and remember this is a forum, lots of stupid questions and comments come up, we are all different personalities, some are a genius, others like me are dimmer then a bag of nails and join forums concerning the cars I own. Perhaps I should 300C in my Autos own. Anyway Thanks for all the infos I have been getting:)

Please remember I live in Europe, there are not that many places with the chain drive drive thru like in the states.
I went to one no brushes only water jets, it has no tracks a robot circles the car,car is in P. has not rained here in a while so was just curious why they did not come on. The car came with no owners manual so thanks to help on here I got the PDF format and it has a section in there concerning the rain sensors.
European edition cars usually come standard what in the states would be optional, I have about every option on here including a TV in the NAV, but thats from 07 before they had digital, now I have a kenwod 9280 BT with digital free to air TV, IPOD,USB,bluetooth and hands free (oops sorry got ahead of myself, off topic)
I will go in the DIC on the SRX (on some other car! I can go into the EMIC and turn the sensor on/off)

So? The 300C does not have OnStar, AWD, Approach Lighting, Power Lumbar Support, Automatic Digital Control, Sport Mode etc. I could go on and on. You're comparing a car with an SUV... a car with a Cadillac that costs $10k more. I really really like the 300C and would consider it as a sedan. Then again, let's wait and see how it compares with Cadillac XTS.

I probably expressed myself wrong in the other post, anyway thanks for replies, I am learning more about the car as I go:)

"The sensor is a box behind the rearview mirror near the windshield. It senses how much precipitation is on the windshield."

Mine has this, or its for something else? Has a thick cable going into it(just like my other rain sensor). I can take a pic and post it, I PM'd my VIN to the CCS on the post here, maybe they can tell me
