I remember reading something a while back about what I think were called "floor jets". Did a couple of searches but found nothing. My 90 4.5L has a tube in each throat of the intake that are carboned up and the front one is loose. It turns but doesn't seem to want to come out. Checked both my factory service manual and the Haynes, but find no mention.

Anybody out there have any info on these? Clean them out? Any way to tighten or is it supposed to be loose? I'm just cleaning up the throttle body and replacing the old hoses to try to get my idle a bit better.

Thanks for any info!

Those are the EGR tubes. Rod them out. Not positive, but I don't think it make much difference if they are a little loose.
